Beit Haedut was founded in Nir Galim in 1991 by graduates of the B'nei Akiva youth movement, immigrants from central Europe. Its main objective is to bequeath the inheritance of heroic Judaism and Religious Zionism to the coming generations, as we believe that "a people which has no past, has no future".
Beit Haedut includes an education center, a documentary museum and a memorial site. It is visited by tens of tousands of people, both from Israel and from outside the country, throughout the year. His instiution serves soldiers, students, new olim, senior citizens and others.

Education

An important activity in The Testimony House is the educational acitvity, with special emphasis on the contribution of Religious Zionist Youth Movements during World War II, to the survival of the people of Israel and to the foundation of the state of Israel. In the educational center, modern educational materials are being developed in several languages. Various seminars are held, some open to the public and others specially designed for groups of students, soldiers, teachers, etc. students meeting holucaust sorvivere
The richest part of a visit to The Testimony House is the live testimony of immigrants from central Europe, veterans of the Religious Zionist movements, who meet with the visitors to tell their personal stories - a powerful experience of both sharing and learning.

Museum

Various forms of art are presented in The Testimony House - from sculpture to miniatures, from painting to writing. There is also a permanent exhibition of mini-models of synagogues which existed in Europe and were destroyed during the Holocaust. Judaica artifacts from the Jewish Stettl are presented as well: Tefilin, the Holy Ark, phylactery bag and a black chariot of the Hevra Kadisha.

The visit to The Testimony House museum is a touching experience that will leave the visitor with timeless memories.

Archive

We, at The Testimony House, keep collecting, documenting and preserving important materials of the wonderful history of Religious Zionism during the Holocaust and the revival of the people of Israel.
In the commemoration project - "And thou shalt tell thy son..." - we enable families and private persons, survivals of the Holocaust and their relatives, to tell their personal story and make it public for generatons to come.
